Donald is one of the founding directors of the Grant Smith Law Practice which was established in 1993. Born in Aberdeen Donald was educated at Robert Gordons College and Aberdeen University. He specialises in all aspects of private client work including:-
- Property Sales;
- Property Purchases;
- Remortgaging and security work;
- Local Authority house purchases;
Margaret Nash Dip LP. NP.
Director in charge, Buckie
Margaret was educated at St Margaret’s School for Girls and Aberdeen University. She has been working with Grant Smith Law Practice and the former Alexander George & Co for in excess of thirty years.
Margaret is the Director in charge of the Buckie Office and heads up the Civil Court Departments in Banff and Buckie Offices. She is registered to provide advice and assistance under legal aid and regularly appears at Banff, Elgin, Peterhead and Aberdeen Sheriff Courts. She is also on the duty scheme for criminal and children’s work. Her primary area of work is child and family law and in particular separation/divorce, residence/contact issues, children’s hearings, adoptions and permanence cases. Margaret also has a particular interest in Guardianship applications and has a background in private client, conveyancing and trust/executry work.
Andrew Duthie LLB., N.P.
Educated at Aberdeen University, Andrew works exclusively for our Private Client department with a particular emphasis on house purchase and sale.
Andrew qualified in 1981 and since that period has obtained a wealth of experience in assisting clients in their house-finding requirements including remortgaging their property.
Other aspects of his work are the preparation of wills, completion of executry estates and powers of attorney
