Hilary Macandrew

Hilary Macandrew was born in Aberdeen and attended Aberdeen University. She is the Director in charge of the Turriff branch office offering all our legal services locally and in addition heads up our Civil and Family Law Department.

Since qualifying as a solicitor, Hilary has worked as a general practitioner with a particular interest in family law. She has been accredited by the Law Society of Scotland as a Family Law Mediator and Arbitrator and a Specialist in Family Law and Child Law.

Based in Turriff for over thirty years, Hilary has built a practice advising on all legal matters, with the support of specialist solicitors across our North East offices. She continues to develop the friendly and efficient service the Turriff office is known for, complemented by the depth of expertise available from colleagues in our other offices. In addition to her role at Grant Smith Law Practice, Hilary is a part-time Tribunal Judge in the Housing and Property Chamber and Local Taxation Chamber.
