Family and Child Law Department of Grant Smith Law Practice is headed up by specialist Director and accredited family law and child law expert Hilary Macandrew who is based in our Turriff office. Hilary is assisted in Turriff by experienced Consultant Gail Wiggins. Director Margaret Nash is the main point of contact for Family and Child Law in our Banff and Buckie Offices and is assisted by Associate Calum Slessor. Hilary Macandrew is the main point of contact in our Aberdeen office for Child & Family law work. Matthew O’Neill deals with Family and Child matters in our Elgin office. There is also support from a team of fully qualified paralegals and legal secretaries.
The services provided by our team are:-
- Family Law, including cohabitation and pre-nuptial agreements, Separation and Divorce/Dissolution of Civil Partnerships;
- Child Law, including all aspects in relation to Parental Rights and Responsibilities, Residence and Contact for parents and grandparents as well as Adoptions and Permanence actions;
- Children’s Hearings, including Grounds of Referral and associated court procedure.
