Banffshire Law Practice Alexander George and Co. Merges With Grant Smith Law Practice

New Jobs to Be Created At Newly Merged Company

Established north east legal firm Alexander George and Co. this week announces that it has concluded a friendly merger with the Aberdeen-based Grant Smith Law Practice. The move will see Alexander George’s offices in Macduff, Banff, Portsoy and Buckie being added to Grant Smith’s current offices in Aberdeen and Turriff. There are plans in place to extend the range of services available at the new offices as well as the creation of new posts with the recruitment of additional solicitors.

Several of Grant Smith’s personnel including solicitors Hilary Macandrew, a former partner at Alexander George, and Margaret Nash both of whom have established business and family connections in the north east, have previously worked for Alexander George and Co. Stuart Beveridge, also of Grant Smith, is already a familiar figure practising in the north east courts, and will take charge of the Buckie office.
