Criminal Defence

Stuart G N Beveridge LLB.( Hons), Dip L.P., N.P.
Partner

Stuart Beveridge is a fully qualified Solicitor and Notary Public who is principally responsible for the firm's Criminal Court workload.

Since qualifying as a Solicitor, Stuart has specialised in dealing with all aspects of Court work, with particular emphasis on Criminal Defence work. Stuart joined the firm in 2001 after being headhunted from his previous position. Formerly a partner with one of the largest firms in the North East where he dealt exclusively with Criminal cases, Stuart brought with him a wealth of court experience and knowledge which has strengthened the firm's already dynamic legal defence team.

Appearing on a daily basis in courts throughout the North East of Scotland ensures that clients of the firm facing criminal charges benefit from Stuart's personal attention and expertise. A former President of the Aberdeen Bar Association, he has, over the years, built up a strong reputation for successfully representing clients at all levels, from fairly minor offences in the District Courts to high profile cases in the High Court of Justiciary.

Authorised to provide Criminal Legal Assistance by the Scottish Legal Aid Board, Stuart also regularly appears in court as Duty Solicitor at the District and Sheriff Courts in Aberdeen, Banff, Elgin, Peterhead and Stonehaven.

Stuart is able to provide expert and professional advice on all aspects of Criminal representation in the District, Sheriff and High Courts including preliminary pleas, intermediate diets, summary and jury trials, together with appeals against sentence or conviction.
